Calculating the Total Size of Our Land
- The best way I know to calculate the area of an polygon is to subdivide the space into right triangles. With a little geometry and trigonometry the lengths of each side of the triangles can be calculated. Once you have that info, the area of each triangle can be found with: Area = (Base x Height) / 2.
